What is a clinical trial?
A study that tests whether a treatment is safe and whether it works. An ethics committee reviews every one before it can start.
Who can take part?
Each study sets its own rules on age, condition and health. Some need healthy volunteers rather than patients.
What does it cost?
Usually nothing. Study visits and tests are generally covered, and many studies pay travel costs.
Can I stop?
Yes, at any time and without giving a reason. Leaving never affects the usual care you receive.

I have never been in a study. Is this for me?
Yes. Most people in a clinical trial are in their first one. Nothing on this page commits you to anything — it shows you what is open, and you decide whether to ask your doctor about it.
Does Trialion run these studies?
No. Every study here is a public record from ClinicalTrials.gov, run by the sponsor and hospital named on it. We do not run them, we cannot enrol you, and we are not paid for referrals. We show them because they are public and hard to read.
What happens to what I type?
Nothing. Your condition, age and state become a search and are gone when the results come back. They are not saved, not sent anywhere else, and deliberately kept out of our own session recordings.
Why are some studies missing?
A location filter only finds records where the site actually typed that place in, and sites enter their own addresses. So a study can be running near you and not appear under your country or state. Searching a wider area is always the safer net, and searching everywhere is the widest.
Will taking part cost me anything?
Usually not. Study visits, tests and the treatment under study are generally paid for by the sponsor, and many studies reimburse travel. Ask the site to put in writing what is covered before you agree to anything.
Can I leave once I have started?
At any time, without giving a reason, and it never affects the usual care you get from your own doctor. That is a condition of ethics approval, not a courtesy.
How do I know a study is legitimate?
Every study here carries an NCT number that links back to its public registry entry, which names the sponsor, the sites and the ethics approvals. Take that number to your doctor. No genuine study will ask you for money.
